Spento ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our expense tracking application.
Your expense records include amounts, currencies, categories, merchants, dates, notes, wallets, debts, and recurring expenses. The apps keep local copies where needed and sync this data with your Spento account through Supabase so it stays available across your devices.
When you use voice input, the audio is sent temporarily to our processing service and to the selected transcription provider, Groq or ElevenLabs. Spento does not store the audio file after the request is processed. The resulting transcript and expense data may be saved when you confirm the expense.
We process your email address, authentication identifiers, and basic account settings to sign you in, secure your account, and synchronize your data.
For signed-in users, we collect limited account-linked usage events such as feature interactions, processing times, app version, and device type. We use these events to operate, troubleshoot, and improve Spento; they do not include your audio recording.
We use the following third-party services to provide our app:
Each service has its own privacy policy, and we require every provider we share your data with to protect it to the same standard described in this policy — including retention limits and a prohibition on using your data for their own purposes. We encourage you to review their policies as well.
We use access controls and secure network connections to protect your data. Supabase HTTP APIs enforce SSL, and Row Level Security restricts account data to authorized users. Local copies are also protected by your device's security features. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free.
We retain your account and expense data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your authentication account, expenses, categories, wallets, debts, recurring expenses, settings, and account-linked analytics from our active systems. A limited account-closure record may be retained for aggregate business reporting or where required by law. Temporary audio is not retained by Spento after processing.
You have the right to:
To exercise these rights: delete your account at any time from Settings › Account › Delete Account in the app, which erases your data as described above; withdraw your consent to usage analytics with the “Share usage analytics” toggle in Settings; unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link at the bottom of any such email, which does not affect service emails like sign-in links; revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings; or write to support@spento.app for any other request.
Spento is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
